Urmila Kanitkar is an Indian actress in Marathi cinema and television.
Urmila was born on 4 May 1986 (age 32; as in 2018) in Mumbai, Maharashtra, India. She enrolled in St. Xavier’s in Mumbai to pursue BA Degree. She is a well-trained kathak dancer and also has a Master of Arts degree in it. She has learned Odissi from Sujata Mahapatra as well.
In 2011, Urmila got married to Adinath Kothare, an actor, whom she met while shooting for her debut movie “Shubh Mangal Savdhan.” Adinath was the assistant director in the film. Adinath and Urmila are blessed with a daughter, Jizah. Her father-in-law is a famous film director, actor, and producer, Mahesh Kothare.
Urmila was first seen on the TV serial “Maayka” aired by Zee TV. Afterward, she appeared on “Mera Sasural,” and the Marathi serials “Asambhav,” “Uun Paus,” and “Goshta Eka Lagnachi.”
She made her debut in the movies with “Shubh Mangal Savdhan.”. She was next featured in the movies “Aai Shappath..!,” and “Savalee.” Urmila entered in Telugu cinema with “Welcome Obama” in 2014.
