Ratna Pathak was born (18 March 1957) in Mumbai, Maharastra and Real Name is Ratna Pathak Shah. She is famous for Roll of  ‘Maya Sarabhai‘ in ‘Sarabhai vs Sarabhai’.

She also portrayed supporting roles in movies including the romantic drama Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na (2008), the action comedy Golmaal 3 (2010),the romantic comedy Ek Mai Aur Ek Tu (2012), the comedy-dramas Khoobsurat (2014) and Kapoor and Sons (2016), followed by the widely acclaimed black-comedy Lipstick Under My Burkha (2017) for which she was nominated for the Filmfare Award for Best Supporting Actress. Ratna completed her schooling from J.B. Vachha High School (Dadar, Mumbai) and after that, she went to National School of Drama of (Delhi). She gives many successful movies to the industry. In 2005 she acted in a comedy show Sarabhai vs Sarabhai, for which she received the ITA Award for Best Actress – Comedy in 2005. In July 2008 she appeared in the successful film Jaane Tu Ya Jaane Na.
