Kedarnath holds well on second Monday; 2.0 (Hindi) collects Rs85 lakh on third Monday

Sara Ali Khan and Sushant Singh Rajput-starrer Kedarnath continues to go steady at the box office.

The film, directed by Abhishek Kapoor, was released on 7 December and held well on its second Monday, collecting Rs2 crore nett, as reported by Boxofficeindia.com.  

The romantic drama had made Rs4.25 crore nett on its first Monday. Comparatively, Kedarnath has seen a drop of over 50% on its second Monday, but the number is still fairly good.

Produced by RSVP, Kedarnath has so far collected Rs55.66 crore nett in its domestic business. According to sources, Kedarnath earned Rs25 crore through satellite and digital rights, acquired by Zee Group.

Kedarnath is a love story of a Hindu Brahmin girl and a Muslim boy set in the backdrop of the Kedarnath floods of 2013.

Meanwhile, the business of Akshay Kumar and Rajinikanth’s 2.0 (Hindi) has started to slow down in its third week.

The sci-fi thriller, directed by S Shankar, could only collect Rs85 lakh on its third Monday. 2.0 (all languages) was released on 29 November. The Tamil film was released in 7,500 screens in India, of which 4,000 screens were allocated for the Hindi version. 2.0 (Hindi) has made Rs181.85 crore nett so far.

Made at a budget of Rs543 crore, the Lyca Productions film was screened in 10,500 screens worldwide. The film is said to have grossed Rs550 crore worldwide already.

New Hollywood release, Aquaman, did well on its first Monday, earning Rs3.50 score nett. Released across 800 screens in India, the Hollywood film has made Rs27.50 crore nett in its India business so far.
