I can be stupid in front of Ranveer Singh: Deepika Padukone

In her first interview after getting married to actor Ranveer Singh, actress Deepika Padukone has said that she wasn’t comfortable with a live-in relationship. Padukone will be featured on GQ magazine which will be out on 6 December.

The couple got married on 14 and 15 November at Lake Como, Italy. They had receptions in Bangalore and Mumbai.

“I was clear right from the start that I didn’t want to have a live-in relationship to figure out if I wanted to marry someone or not. Now [I’m expecting] everything that comes with being a newly-wed: sharing space, you know, or the bills, whatever it takes for two people to live a life together,” Padukone says.

The Piku (2015) actress heaped praise on her husband, saying how comfortable she can be with him.

“I think you just know when you want to spend the rest of your life with that one person and he’s everything rolled into one man. He’s my best friend, playmate, companion and confidant. I can be silly in front of him, I can be stupid in front of him, I can be sick in front of him, I can be whatever I want to be,” said the Padmaavat (2018) actress.

After six months of dating, Singh realized that Padukone was the one he was going to marry.

Speaking to Filmfare magazine earlier, Singh had said, “I knew all too well that this is the woman I’m going to marry. This is the woman who would become the mother of my children. I’ve been thinking about marriage seriously for almost three years now. I was just waiting, I told her the minute you say so, we’ll do it.”
