Warsi plays a man who cons women into marriage for money as is evidenced by the multiple women on the poster who have him tied up at the neck. Warsi, sporting a garland of Rs2000 notes, is seen grinning as he sits in front of the ceremonial fire. Actor Saurabh Shukla, holding a handful of diamond and gold jewellery, sits next to him.
Incidentally, Warsi also has a small chest full of necklaces of fine stones by his side. Apparently, his character marries 13 times in the film. The tagline states, ‘Sab mard kutte nahi hain! [All men are not dogs]‘ with the word ‘nahi [not]‘ crossed out.
This is director Sourabh Shrivastava’s second film. He previously directed Oh, My God (2009) with Vinay Pathak and Saurabh Shukla.
Besides Warsi and Shukla, Fraud Saiyaan also stars Sara Loren and Elli AvrRam who will be recreating the 1990s hit song ‘Chamma Chamma’ in the film. Produced by Disha Prakash Jha and Kanishk Gangwal, the wacky comedy is due to be released on 18 January 2019.
