After the buzz, Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas are finally married

Priyanka Chopra and Nick Jonas tied the knot in a Christian wedding on 1 December at the Taj Umaid Bhawan Palace and married in a Hindu ceremony a day after on 2 December.

The couple’s ensemble for the Christian ceremony was designed by Ralph Lauren.

Priyanka and Nick tied the knot at the palace with the Mehrangarh Fort in Jodhpur providing the backdrop. The wedding took place under a large 40-foot canopy, with Priyanka dressing in traditional red for the wedding. The bride’s ensemble was designed by Sabyasachi, who also designed the bridal outfit for Deepika Padukone’s wedding earlier last month.

E! News quoted a source saying, “breathtaking in her traditional red Indian wedding outfit.”

The Jonas family in attendance included Denise Jonas and Kevin Jonas Sr., who was a pastor and officiated the Chrisitan wedding on 1 December. Nick’s brothers, Kevin Jonas was accompanied by his wife, Danielle Jonas, while Joe Jonas was alongside fiance, Sophie Turner.

The wedding took place in a very traditional style with Nick riding to the venue on a horse, and later joining Priyanka on an elephant ride. The couple then exchanged garlands, and walked around the fire for their vows.

The wedding was followed by a lavish feast which went on late into the evening, with its celebratory fireworks marking the completion of the event.

The couple also celebrated a lavish sangeet and mehndi ceremony preceding the big wedding. Having decorated their hands in henna, they also joined the rest of the family in performances on stage. While Nick took to stage performing a very ‘Bollywood’ dance, Priyanka was joined by mother, Madhu Chopra in singing a song. Parineeti Chopra also put up a dance performance on the occassion.
